A 3D visualization study that approaches aircraft not as engineering subjects but as sculptural objects — studying wing geometry, turbine form, and fuselage structure under carefully controlled light.
Takeoff begins from the premise that aircraft are extraordinary formal objects — the product of such extreme functional necessity that they have arrived at extreme beauty as an almost incidental byproduct. Each render in this series isolates a different structural element and subjects it to a specific light condition, removing the aircraft from any operational context and treating it as a still-life subject: the curve of a leading edge, the lattice of a turbine intake, the way a wing root transitions into fuselage. The project is, at its core, an argument for looking — for the kind of sustained attention that reveals the aesthetic logic embedded in purely functional forms.
