A four-part series built on a strict two-color rule — a rigorous demonstration that constraint is not the enemy of expression but frequently its precondition.
The Dichromatic Dream imposed its rule before a mark was made: two colors only, held constant across four separate compositions. This constraint forced every decision back to its essential logic — there is no additional color to compensate for a weak form, no saturation to rescue a failed composition, no third hue to introduce complexity that the image hasn't earned through its own means. The works that result from this discipline are simultaneously tighter and more expressive than a full palette would have produced. As a body of work, the series functions as an argument about creative practice: it demonstrates rather than states that limitation is not the enemy of meaning but is very often — perhaps always — its first necessary condition.
